GAINESVILLE - With the Region 7-AAA schedule wrapping up Friday night, there is little left to decide on the boys side as the teams prepare for the region tournament next week.

No. 7 White County (19-5, 8-1) has wrapped up the North subregion while No. 3 East Hall (22-2, 8-0) clinched the South subregion almost a week ago.

The Warriors will try to end the year on a five-game winning streak when they travel to Gilmer. East Hall has won 11 straight and plays host to non-region and defending Class A champion Whitefield Academy.

No. 5 Gainesville (19-6, 5-2) plays host to No. 14 Johnson (13-10, 4-3) with second place in the South subregion at stake.

Gainesville has won two straight since losing to East Hall while Johnson also has won two straight since losing to East Hall.

In other boys 7-AAA North action Friday, North Hall (14-8, 7-2) can finish the regular season on a two-game winning streak with it plays host to Fannin County (8-16, 5-4). The Rebels have won two straight.

Chestatee (3-19, 2-7) is looking to snap a five-game losing streak when it plays host to Pickens (9-15, 4-5). The War Eagles beat Pickens last month.

In the South subregion, Flowery Branch (9-13, 1-6) can clinch fourth place with a win over rival West Hall (9-13, 0-7). The Falcons beat West Hall last month for their first-ever subregion win.
