Falcons snap losing streak with win over Spartans

AOAKWOOD - The Flowery branch boys basketball team used a swarming defense to create fastbreak opportunities in running away from West Hall in an 89-68 win.<br> <br> The win for the Falcons (10-13, 2-6) snapped a two-game losing streak. It was the ninth straight loss for West Hall (9-14, 0-8).<br> <br> Flowery Branch blew open a close game in the second quarter with its defense, using a 10-1 run at one point to help take a 47-34 lead into halftime.<br> <br> The Falcons extended the lead to 66-48 by the end of the third quarter with a 7-0 run.<br> <br> Freshman Zac Swansey led Flowery Branch with 23 points. Josh Acton added 14 for Flowery Branch.<br> <br> West Hall was led by Justin Brooks with 17 points. Maurice Taber and Josh bagley each had 11 for the Spartans.
