Westmoreland leads Lady Trojans to tourney win

BLUE RIDGE - Megan Westmoreland score 21 points and Lindsay Smith added 12 to lead the North Hall girls basketball teamm to a 68-45 Region 7-AAA North play-in game win over Pickens County Monday night.

The Lady Trojans (12-12) now have won 5 of their last 7 games and advanced to play Class AAA No. 3 Johnson Wednesday in the quarterinals round.

Johnson won the last meeting between the two teams last month 91-75.

Gilmer (3-23) went 0-11 against subregion opponents this year.
