Lady Dragons headed to state, beat Commerce

HIAWASSEE - The No. 11 Jefferson girls basketball team got 15 points from Shenita Moon to advance to the Class A state tournament with a 51-36 win over rival Commerce Tuesday night in the Region 8-A Tournament at the Towns County gym.<br> <br> The Lady Dragons led just 23-19 at halftime but blew the game open in the third quarter behind Kenyotta Beasley, who scored half of Jefferson&#39;s 18 points in the quarter.<br> <br> The Lady Dragons will play No. 6 Lakeview Academy fridat 7 p.m. in the semifinals. The Lady Dragons lost both games to Lakeview during the regular season.
