Two Gainesville Marines involved in big Mideast drug bust

GAINESVILLE - Two Marines with Gainesville connections recently participated in the recent seizure of about $11 million worth of hashish in the Mideast.

Lance Corporal Sesser V. Durden, the son of Sesser Durden of Gainesvile and Jackie Latimer of Apple Valley, California, and Private First Class Kevin M. Daniels, brother of Brian R. Daniels of Gainesville, are members of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit.

Almost 3,000 pounds of the drug were seized from a small Arabian boat on the North Arabian Sea.
