UNDATED - Snow is possible in parts of northeast Georgia Wednesday night and Thursday.

The National Weather Service says the rain that's expected Wednesday may become mixed with snow overnight, with a possible change to all snow in the northeast mountains on Thursday.

Some accumulations appear possible along and north of a Rome-to-Gainesville line.

However, the weather services says "there remains quite a bit of uncertainty" concerning the exact track of a low pressure system that will move across the Gulf coastal region Wednesday night and Thursday, spreading Gulf moisture into north and central Georgia. There's also some uncertainty about just how cold it will get as the precipitation moves into Georgia. That will have a bearing on whether the rain changes to snow and the amount of snow the weather system might generate.
