Georgia St. beats Lipscomb

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - Kevin Thomas scored 17 points and Nate Williams added 16 in Georgia State's 82-72 victory Thursday night over Lipscomb.<br>

Georgia State (18-8, 13-6 Atlantic Sun Conference) hit eight free throws in the last minute to seal the win.<br>
<br>
Lipscomb (7-20, 4-15) pulled to 57-47 midway through the second half, but couldn't finish its comeback.<br>
<br>
Thomas hit a 3-pointer with two seconds to play in the first half for a 37-24 Georgia State halftime lead.<br>
<br>
The Bisons shot 9-30 from the field in the first half and were outrebounded 47-30 for the game.<br>
<br>
Trello Galloway scored 13 points and Lamont Macintosh added 11 for the Panthers.<br>
<br>
Lipscomb was led in scoring by James Poindexter with 14, Albert Hacker with 13 and Chad Hartman with 12.
