DAHLONEGA - More than two dozen young people from Hall, White, and Lumpkin counties are participating in the annual World Vision 30-hour Famine to draw attention to world hunger.

They are from Solid Rock Baptist Church/Brown's chapel in Dahlonega - and are fasting during the 30-hour period over two days.

They are also raising money for the cause through sponsor donations.

The funds raised during the 30-Hour Famine will be used to help feed hungry children and families in countries such as Tanzania, Zambia, and Malawi, as well as countries in South America, Asia, Eastern Europe, and the U.S.
