Savannah janitor charged with putting camera in girls' bathroom

<p>A high-school janitor accused of putting a video camera in a girls' bathroom has been fired and charged with several felonies.</p><p>Andre Dewitt Williams, a janitor at Jenkins High School, is also accused of luring an underage girl to the bathroom, then taping her performing sexual acts.</p><p>He was indicted Wednesday on two felony counts of sexual exploitation of children, enticing a child for an indecent purpose, invasion of privacy by unlawful surveillance and lying to investigators.</p><p>School officials say a 15-year-old student noticed a camera on the shelf while using the bathroom on Oct. 13, then told a teacher about it. School safety official Gary Moore said an investigation led to Williams' arrest, but he didn't say what led investigators to the janitor. He had worked for the school for less than a year, and was fired.</p><p>"We consider it an isolated incident, but we take these things very seriously," said James Harvey, a spokesman for Chatham County Schools.</p><p>___</p><p>HASH(0x2867620)</p>
