Delta flight from Colombia diverted in Key West

<p>A case of stolen identity caused federal officials to divert a Delta Air Lines passenger jet from Colombia to a Navy station in the Florida Keys on Sunday, the FBI said.</p><p>The name of a passenger on the flight was on a federal no-fly list, but it turned out his ID had been stolen, said FBI spokeswoman Judy Orihuela.</p><p>After fingerprinting the passenger, immigration officials and FBI agents released him, she said.</p><p>"His name is on the list because somebody who is on the list stole his identity," Orihuela said.</p><p>The FBI did not release the passenger's name.</p><p>The Boeing 757 carrying 132 passengers was diverted to the U.S. Navy's airfield on Boca Chica near Key West at about 1:30 p.m., where the passenger and his luggage were removed, said Delta spokeswoman Tracey Bowen.</p><p>The flight then continued to its original destination of Atlanta, where it arrived at 5:50 p.m.</p><p>Naval Air Station Key West didn't return a phone message left Sunday by The Associated Press.</p>
