Abbott to speak at Pearl Harbor Day observance

ATLANTA - The Gainesville man who is crediting for firing the first and last shots of World War II will speak in Atlanta Tuesday as the National Museum of Patriotism observes Pearl Harbor Day. <br>

Mack Abbott, who is now 82, will also sign his book about his wartime experiences, "The First and Last Shots Fired in World War Two," at two-hour intervals from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.<br>

The National Museum of Patriotism is located in Midtown Atlanta at 1405 Spring Street NW. <br>

The museum will give away American flag lapel pins to the first 200 people who visit the museum Tuesday; display a number of rare pins and other memorabilia that relate to the bombing of Pearl Harbor; and, showcase additional historic items such as authentic newspaper editions and specially designed mailing envelopes used during WWII to boost morale and promote ideas such "Let Freedom Ring for All the World." <br>
