Grand jury to hear more about Buford murder

LAWRENCEVILLE -A grand jury will continue hearing testimony Thursday about the shooting death of a woman at her home in Gwinnett County.

The brothers of the woman's husband - Dacula dentist Barton Corbin who also practices in Gainesville - went before the grand jury yesterday in Lawrenceville. They were expected to be asked about the whereabouts of Corbin when his wife, Jennifer Corbin, was killed.

Robert Corbin and Bradley Corbin ignored reporters' questions as they went into the secret session and as they emerged from the grand jury room.

The brothers were among four people District Attorney Danny Porter has subpoenaed to testify in an investigation of the death of Jennifer Corbin, whose body was found by her seven-year-old son early December 4 in their Buford home.

Police initially treated the death as a suicide, but changed it to a homicide.

Porter says he does not expect an indictment to be issued today.

Investigators want to talk to Barton Corbin.

His lawyers say their client is innocent and is cooperating with police through his attorneys.
