Gainesville Parks and Rec receives honor

GGAINESVILLE - Gainesville Parks and Recreation's Youth Athletics Program was honored for Excellence in Youth Sports by the National Alliance for Youth Sports and Athletic Business Magazine. <br> <br> The Annual Excellence in Youth Sports Award recognizes outstanding youth sports programs around the country for doing superior jobs on conducting diverse activities with a focus on providing safe and positive experiences for all participants including children, parents, and coaches.<br> <br> Since 2001 Gainesville Parks and Recreation has earned "Honorable Mention" for 4 consecutive years and 4 out of 5 years since the inception of the award in 2000.
