Chi, 23, was trapped in the wreckage and was lifeflighted to Grady Hospital in Atlanta after being freed.
The accident closed McEver Road in Hall County closed for two hours. It happened near the intersection of McEver and Nacoochee Trail. Troopers say Chi's car crossed the centerline and hit a van head on.
The driver of the van, Douglas Michael Swan, 47, of Gainesville, was not badly injured.
