Lady Tigers defeat Monmouth

WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) Nicole Louden and Natasha Brackett scored 16 points each and Auburn forced 28 turnovers to defeat Monmouth 73-44 on Tuesday night.<br>

Brackett shot 5-of-16 from the field and was perfect in six free throws, while Louden hit 6-of-11 for the Tigers (8-2). Louise Emeagi scored 12 points and pulled down seven rebounds.<br>
<br>
Niamh Dwyer led Monmouth (4-5) with 12 points and Liz Whalen added 11.<br>
<br>
Auburn led 41-23 at the half. The Hawks got within 13 points early in the second half on a 7-2 run, powered by a Dwyer 3 and back-to-back layups by LaShaunda Merriweather and Courtney Lumpkin, but would get no closer.<br>
<br>
The Tigers dominated the boards 41-26 and 20-7 on the offensive end.<br>
<br>
It was the eighth straight win for Auburn, while the Hawks lost their third in a row.
