Gainesville publication included in Black History Month promotion

UNDATED - Three northeast Georgia publications - including one from Gainesville - are among the works included in a Black History Month promotion by a publishing house that specializes in African-American history.

The books are a part of Arcadia's Black American Series. In addition to the Hall County book, the promotion includes 12 other publications about blacks in Georgia, including books about black history in Gwinnett and Elbert counties.

The Gainesville book was published earlier this year and was put together by Linda Hutchins and Ella Jean Smith, both of Gainesville.

February is Black History Month.
