Sex offender on parole from Georgia arrested in Ohio

<p>A convicted sex offender on parole from Georgia is accused of kidnapping two 12-year-old girls from a shopping center and sexually assaulting them, police said.</p><p>Daniel Lee Cole, 36, of Smyrna, Ga., was arrested Sunday on gross sexual imposition and kidnapping charges, a clerk at Toledo Municipal Court said. Cole made an initial appearance in court Monday where bond was set at $500,000.</p><p>Police say Cole posed as a security guard at a shopping center and lured the girls into his car on Saturday. He handcuffed the girls and sexually assaulted both of them before dropping them off, said police Sgt. George Kral.</p><p>Cole was convicted five years ago of molesting a 9-year-old in Peachtree City near Atlanta. He was on parole for his conviction for child molestation after serving four years in prison. He is a registered sex offender in Georgia.</p><p>He was released from prison last November.</p><p>Toledo police arrested Cole early Sunday after his car was spotted by a tipster. He was visiting relatives in the area.</p>
