BellSouth names Feidler operating chief

<p>BellSouth Corp. on Monday said Mark Feidler will become chief operating officer on Jan. 1 amid a reshuffling of several higher-level executives.</p><p>Feidler formerly served as COO of the company's Cingular Wireless LLC joint venture until last January, when he was named chief staff officer for BellSouth.</p><p>Dick Anderson, president of customer markets, will become vice chairman of planning and administration on Jan. 1. BellSouth Enterprises president Isaiah Harris was chosen as president of the company's advertising and publishing group.</p><p>Vice president of finance and controller Pat Shannon has been promoted to senior vice president of finance. Lynn Wentworth, vice president and treasurer, will become chief financial officer of the communications group, and will be replaced by Mark Droege.</p><p>Shares of BellSouth rose 15 cents to $27.35 during morning activity on the New York Stock Exchange.</p>
