Two hit in Flowery Branch car-pedestrian accident

FLOWERY BRANCH - A father and son, walking along a road near Flowery Branch, were involved in a car-pedestrian accident Wednesday night but escaped serious injury.

Lt. Robin Ramsey of the Hall County Sheriff's Office says Richard and Walter Dowdy were walking along Friendship Road about 10:20 when Richard stumbled into the path of an SUV and was hit by the vehicle, knocking him into the other pedestrian.

Lt. Ramsey says both were treated at the scene for minor injuries. The driver of the SUV was cited for driving without a license.
