Mississippi State played without forward Lawrence Roberts, who broke his nose during Thursday's practice. Roberts also must sit out one game for accepting and later repaying expenses for a pre-NBA draft workout.
The injury will force Roberts to miss at least one more game after serving the suspension.
The Bulldogs didn't need him against the Mexican team.
