Lanier Point Park closing for three months

GAINESVILLE - Lanier Point Park, west of Gainesville, will be closed most of the winter because of sewer work on Dawsonville Highway.

The park and boat ramp will be closed December 1 and are not scheduled to reopen until March 1, according to city officials.

They add that as a result of the sewerage upgrades, improvements will be made to Lanier Point Park roads and parking lots.
