NE Georgians complete floodplain management course

ATLANTA - Six local government officials from northeast Georgia recently completed a state and federal floodplain management training session.<br>

They were among 32 state and local officials responsible for administering local floodplain management programs to finish the course.<br>
<br>
They are Gilmer County Building inspectors Kevin Reece and Shannon Bassett; Dawsonville City Clerk Kim Cornelison; Forsyth County Engineer Renee Hoge; Senior Planner Audra Miller of the Forsyth County Planning and Development Department; and, Fannin County Land Development Officer Tammie Williams.<br>

The course was sponsored by the Georgia Floodplain Management Office and Region IV of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
