Carrollton whips rival Cartersville

CARROLLTON - Blake Caldwell completed 7-of-12 passes for 167 yards and a touchdown as Carrollton beat Cartersville 21-9.<br> <br> The Carrollton (8-0) defense put the Trojans on the board a minute and 32 seconds into the game. Crowder stripped Cartersville Raymone Nesbit and Ryan Bridges scooped the ball up ran it back 37 yards for the touchdown.<br> <br> LaTrampus Crowder caught a 69-yard bomb from Caldwell with 9:47 left in the game to effectively put the game away.<br> <br> Carrollton finished with 275 yards of offense compared with 223 by Cartersville.<br> <br> Trojan fullback Sanchez Houston, who was averaging 113 yards a game, had just 39 on 15 carries.<br> <br> Crowder, who rushed for 43 yards on 12 carries, caught five balls for 101 yards.
