ATLANTA - Stops in Gainesville and Cumming are included on a Republican Party swing around the state planned in the waning days of this year's campaigns.

The GOP's "Securing Georgia's Future Tour" begins Saturday and one of the stops that day is at 11:15 a.m. at the fairgrounds in Cumming. Congressman Johnny Isakson, who is running for the U.S. Senate, is scheduled to appear.

The caravan rolls into Gainesville next Monday for a 5:00 p.m. stop at the Smithgall Arts Center. Isakson, U.S. Senator Saxy Chambliss, and state Republican Party Chairman Alex Poitevint are expected to appear.

Organizers say the tour will focus on the Republican message of "making Georgia better by winning the war on terror, strengthening education, and continuing to promote economic growth."
