Thrashers defenseman leaves game with hip injury

<p>Thrashers defenseman Garnet Exelby left Atlantas game Thursday night against Colorado because of a hip contusion.</p><p>Exelby was injured in the first period, and the team said he wouldnt return.</p><p>In his first full season with Atlanta, Exelby has played in all 49 games. He has seven assists.</p>
