Gainesville woman to intern at the White House

GAINESVILLE - Emily Lancaster, a Gainesville native and senior at North Georgia College and State University, has been accepted into the White House Intern Program.

Emily will be beginning her work in the Photo Office of the West Wing in a few days. She is a graduate of Gainesville High School and daughter of Joey and Lynn Lancaster of Gainesville.

Emily's term at the White House will end in May.

Her degree is in Art Marketing with an emphasis in photography. During her stay at NGCSU she won numerous awards for her photography including the coveted President's Choice Award.

Her photographs were also displayed in the atrium of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta.
