Panthers hit record 21 3-pointers in win

ATLANTA - Kevin Thomas scored 19 points and hit five of Georgia State&#39;s 21 3-pointers to help the Panthers beat West Florida 105-73 Wednesday.<br> <br> The 21 treys were a school-record breaking the old record of 16.<br> <br> Georgia State (6-3) surged to a 38-18 lead midway through the first half, with Lamont McIntosh hitting four 3-pointers in the first four minutes. McIntosh scored all 18 of his points in the first half, and Georgia State led 56-39 at the break.<br> <br> West Florida (5-4) closed to 64-50 at 13:42 before Georgia State went on an 8-0 run to lead 72-50 with 11:55 to play. The margin was never under 20 points after that.<br> <br> West Florida was led by Kendrick Johnson with 21 points. Kashif Russell had 17.<br> <br> The Panthers were 21-36 from 3-point range, including a 3-for-3 effort by Marcus Brown, who wound up with 17 points.
