Carolina whips Cowboys in NFC playoffs

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Carolina Panthers have advanced to the second round of the NFC playoffs by dominating on both ends of the ball during a 29-10 win over Dallas.<br>

The Cowboys couldn't stop Jake Delhomme, Stephen Davis, Steve Smith or Muhsin (moo-SEEN') Muhammad.<br>
<br>
Delhomme threw for 273 yards, including a 32-yard touchdown to Smith that put the Panthers ahead 23-3 in the third quarter.<br>
<br>
Davis had 104 rushing yards after being held to 59 by the Cowboys in a regular-season game. Davis ran for a 23-yard touchdown that put the Panthers ahead 13-0.<br>
<br>
Smith finished with five catches for 135 yards, and Muhammad had four receptions for 103 yards.<br>
<br>
John Kasay drilled four field goals for the Panthers, who will face the Rams in St. Louis next Sunday.<br>
<br>
The Cowboys had zero yards in the third quarter and didn't reach the end zone until Quincy Carter scored on a nine-yard run with 7:36 remaining.
