The council meets in special session - and after swearing-in ceremonies for newly elected council members - is scheduled to get down to the business of the new year.
That includes consideration of a resolution that would establish a moratorium on annexations - and another that would place a moratorium on the rezoning of property inside the Flowery Branch city limits.
There was no advance indication of how long the moratoriums might be in place if they are adopted by the council.
