Jefferson boys 4th in Class A poll

JEFFERSON - The Jefferson boys basketball team has climbed to No. 4 in the latest Class A gabasketball.net poll released Monday night.<br> <br> The Dragons are in a tie for fourth with Hawkinsville. Athens Academy at 14th is the only other team from Region 8-A, which Lakeview Academy plays in, ranked in the poll.<br> <br> Southwest Atlanta Christian is No. 1 followed by Whitefield Academy, which beat Lakeview over the weekend.<br> <br> In the Class AA poll, Buford has climbed to 10th. The Wolves got a late start because of the football team&#39;s march to the state championship.<br> <br> Apalachee is 11th. Wesleyan, also out of Region 8-AA South, is ranked No. 2 behind Coosa. That gives the subregion three teams in the rankings.<br> <br> There are no teams from northeast Georgia ranked in Class AAAA poll, which has Griffin at No. 1. In the Class AAAAA poll, South Gwinnett, which beat East Hall last week, is No. 1.
