New homes in 2003 in Hall nearly 1,500

GAINESVILLE - Nearly 1,500 new, single-family homes were cleared for construction last year in Gainesville and Hall County. <br> <br> Gainesville-Hall County Building Services says 137 were approved for construction inside the city limits, while more than 1,228 were okayed for the county. <br> <br> In addition, the report says ten permits for new homes were approved for the city in December for work expected to cost $1.2 million. <br> <br> In the county, 100 new homes were okayed in December, with an estimated construction cost of $13.7 million.<br> <br> <br> <br>
