Lakeview boys rout Excel Academy

CARTERSVILLE - The Lakeview Academy boys basketball team used a 19-9 second quarter run and an 18-2 third quarter run en route to a 67-36 blowout of Excel Academy Tuesday night.<br> <br> Lakeview (9-5) led just 17-6 after the first quarter. But after the smoke cleared over the next two quarters, the Lions took a 54-17 into the final period.<br> <br> Trey Wood led Lakeview with 14 points. Dustin Wellborn added 10 and WillCrumley 8 for the Lions.<br> <br> They will travel to Athens to play Prince Avenue Friday night.
