Lions roar back to beat Prince Avenue

ATHENS - The Lakeview Academy boys basketball team used a 16-5 fourth quarter run to pull away for a 37-27 win over host Prince Avenue Friday night.

The Lions (10-5) have won three of the last four as they get ready to head into Region 8-A North play next week.

The Lakeview run followed a dismal third quarter where Prince Avenue held the Lions to just two points to grab a 22-21 lead.

Lakeview had taken a 19-13 lead into halftime.

Duston Wellborn led Lakeview with 12 points. Will Crumley added 10 for the Lions.
