Mercer to debut new gym against Georgia State

MACON - The Mercer Bears will unveil their new arena Tuesday night against one of hottest teams in the Atlantic Sun Conference - Georgia State. <br>

The Panthers can tie a school record of eight straight wins if they beat the Bears in the new 3,200-seat Mercer University Center. <br>
<br>
The Bears have long played in Porter Gym. <br>
<br>
Georgia State is close to matching a string of victories in the 2000-2001 season, when the Panthers won their last eight games before a second-round loss in the NCAA tournament.
