OAKWOOD - Sam Greavu has been on a roll lately for the Johnson boys basketball team.

He was at it again Tuesday night, pouring in 24 points to lead the Class AAA 14th-ranked Knights to a 78-70 win over West Hall in Region 7-AAA South action.

Greavu, who set a school-record with 50 points in a game two weeks ago, helped spark a big third quarter run to erase a 34-26 West Hall halftime lead.

The Knights (11-9, 3-2) moved within one-half game of Gainesville for second place in the subregion. Gainesville fell to No. 1 East Hall on Tuesday.

The two teams finish the regular season in a showdown at Gainesville next week.

Tarik Smith added 23 for Johnson.

West Hall (9-12, 0-6) has now lost eight straight. Terrell Mock led the Spartans with 18 points. Josh Kendall scored 16.
