The Class A ninth-ranked Lady Lions (14-5, 7-1) took No. 1 Social Circle down to the wire Tuesday before losing and face the 12th-ranked Lady Indians, a team which beat lakeview early in the season.
But that was more than a month ago and the Lakeview girls are 8-3 since losing 49-34 to Towns County in Hiawassee.
A win for the Lady Lions would put the two teams in a tie for first place. A loss could knock them all the way to third place in Region 8-A North.
Jefferson, which Lakeview beat last week, is one-game back and Towns plays host to Jefferson next week in the season finale for both teams.
For the Lakeview boys, they are looking for revenge. The Indians nipped the Lions (13-6, 6-2) 65-63 in Hiawassee on a last second shot.
The winner is likely to finish second in the subregion. No. 4 Jefferson leads the subregion and has already beaten both teams.
