ATLANTA - Haminn Quaintance put a missed shot back up into the basket with three seconds left Friday night to lift Jacksonville to a 77-75 victory over Georgia State.<br> <br> It was the second disappointment in a row for Georgia State, whose bid to tie a school-record eight straight victories died Tuesday in a 73-55 upset at Mercer. Against Jacksonville (9-10, 4-8 Atlantic Sun Conference), the Panthers were aiming to tie a school-record eight consecutive home victories.<br> <br> Quaintaince led six Dolphins in double figures with 16 points. Nolan McBride scored 15, Jure Lozancic 13, David Lee 12, and Aubrey Conerly and Jarred Stockton 10 apiece. McBride and Quantaince each added seven rebounds.<br> <br> Georgia State (13-6, 8-4) was led by Nate Williams, who had 21 points and nine rebounds.<br> <br> The Panthers led 41-36 at intermission, but Jacksonville tied it at 45 on a McBride layup just over four minutes into the second half. Lamont McIntosh hit a 3-pointer to give Georgia State its last lead, 72-71, with 1:45 left. McIntosh tied it at 75 with another 3-pointer with 23 seconds on the clock after the Dolphins hit four free throws.
