Albany St. beats Miles

BIRMIMGHAM, ALABAMA - Uyl Joyner completed 12 of 16 passes for 172 yards to lead Albany State to a 27-12 win over Miles College Saturday night. <br>

Albany State (1-1) pulled off the win despite 16 penalties that cost them 131 yards. <br>
<br>
In the third quarter, Miles' James Byner recovered a snap on an Albany State field goal attempt and made a lateral pass to Antonio Nelson, who ran 80 yards for a touchdown. <br>
<br>
Miles (1-1) scored again with 8:35 left in the game when Perry Tisdale ran 2 yards into the end zone for a TD. But the team was unable to score again.
