Winston-Salem wins Peach State Kickoff Classic

MACON - Joshua McGee passed for three touchdowns and Rodney Milbourne had the winning score on a 1-yard run in the third quarter as Winston-Salem State downed Fort Valley State 27-21 in the second Peach State Kickoff Classic Saturday night. <br>

The game on a neutral field in Macon left both teams with 1-1 records. <br>
<br>
McGee, who completed 12 of 16 passes for 127 yards, had scoring passes of 7 and 29 yards to Brandon Free and 10 yards to Brandon Hussey. Free had seven catches for 66 yards. <br>
<br>
Duron Croson ran for 92 yards for the losing Wildcats, scoring the game's first touchdown on a 3-yard run just over three minutes into the game. <br>
<br>
Fort Valley's other scoring came on Derrick Wimbush's 1-yard run and Cecil Lester's 38-yard pass to Taqua Thrasher.
