Film about Bobby Jones features Chateau Elan courses

BRASELTON - Filming begins Monday at Chateau Elan in Braselton on a $14 million movie about golf's lengenday Bobby Jones.

The movie is set primarily between 1920 and 1930 when Jones dominated the golf world on his way to winning the Grand Slam of Golf.

The filming will continue most of the week on Chateau Elan's three golf courses.

A crew of 115 plus hundreds of extras will be on hand for the filming which will take place from 7 a.m. until sunset through Friday.

Jim Caviezal, whose film credits include "The Count of Monte Christo," "Angel Eyes," and, Mel Gibson's new movie, "The Passion," will portray Jones.
