Coastal Carolina sells out program's opening football game

CONWAY, SOUTH CAROLINA - The first-ever football game at Coastal Carolina will play to a sold-out house. <br>

The Chants have sold all 6,408 tickets at Brooks Stadium for the season opener Sept. 6 against Newberry, the school announced Thursday. The only remaining tickets are those set aside for students. <br>
<br>
Coastal athletic director Warren Koegel thanked the community for supporting the fledgling Division I-AA program. <br>
<br>
``The excitement has continued to grown throughout the past several months, culminating in this happening,'' he said. ``We look forward to the continued support of our fans.'' <br>
<br>
Koegel said tickets are available for Coastal Carolina's other four home games in his inaugural season.
