Reds complete Mercker trade

CINCINNATI - The Cincinnati Reds acquired righthander Matt Belisle Thursday to complete the trade that sent lefthander Kent Mercker to the Atlanta Braves. <br>

The 23-year-old Belisle was 7-9 with AA Greenville and AAA Richmond this season. He was assigned to AAA Louisville. <br>
<br>
The Reds designated outfielder Mark Budzinski for assignment. Budzinski hit .269 in 56 games with Louisville and appeared in four games for the Reds earlier this month.
