Mar-Jac has bought 95 acres along Georgia Highway 98 that is already zoned for industrial use.
"This will service all of our needs and all of our feed mill needs for some time to come," said Mar-Jac's Vice-President for Poultry Operations Doug Carnes.
He says the company also is trying to purchase an adjoining 40 acres that would be a buffer between the new land and property owned by Wayne Farms.
"This 40-acre tract is a piece between the Wayne Poultry feed mill and the 95-acre tract which we've signed the option on," said Carnes.
The Maysville city council will hold an annexation and zoning hearing on the request at 6 p.m. Monday.
The Hall County Commission last year rejected a petition by Mar-Jac to build the feed mill in Lula.
