Gainesville woman honored for Civil Rights work

ATLANTA - The Southern Transportation Civil Rights Conference recently honored Elaine Mack of Gainesville, a Georgia DOT employee, for her years of service and commitment to the Civil Rights cause. <br>

Mack began her career in 1972 in the Utilities office. Since that time she has served the Department in many capacities including Procurement Officer and Personnel Technician. For the past eight years, Mack has served as the Equal Employment Opportunity Officer for the Northeast Georgia GDOT district.<br>
<br>
In that capacity, she is in charge of ensuring that GDOT follows all EEO policies in hiring and promoting employees and that contractors meet GDOT policies by using minority owned sub-contractors.
