Dalton lady may get back in NASCAR

ATLANTA - Nearly five years after she was forced to walk away from NASCAR racing because of a lack of sponsorship, Tammy Jo Kirk of Dalton may be getting back into the game. <br> <br> According to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, Busch Series car owner Jay Robinson and his sponsor Advil wants Kirk to drive the #49 Ford, beginning with next week&#39;s Busch Series race at New Hampshire. <br> <br> When she hits the track next week, she&#39;ll become the eighth female driver in Busch Series history. <br> <br> Robinson, the car owner, says he&#39;s not expecting Kirk to set speed records right away. <br> <br> Robinson says the goal at New Hampshire is to glet Kirk get adjusted to driving again and give her time to get used to the car. <br> <br> Kirk has been to Robinson&#39;s shop to have the car&#39;s seat fitted to suit her, but she will NOT be able to drive the car until the track opens for practice next Friday. <br> <br> It will be the first time she&#39;s driven a race vehicle in nearly five years, but she says that won&#39;tbe a problem.
