BOSTON - Sooner or later in his NBA career, LeBron James will be expected to play his best after flying from coast to coast.

For now, though, Cavaliers coach Paul Silas is willing to let his budding star get his rest.

After returning from Los Angeles and sitting out Thursday, James had a slow start in Cleveland's summer league game against Atlanta Friday. He scored 15 points with nine rebounds, but he never really got comfortable at the free throw line.

James had one stellar quarter, scoring nine points in the second to help Cleveland beat the Hawks 77-69. After grading himself with a ``C'' in his first game in Boston, on Monday, James upgraded to a ``B+'' in Game 2.

Carlos Boozer had 18 points and 15 rebounds for the Cavaliers. Dan Dickau scored 13 with six assists for Atlanta.

James shot 5-for-14 from the field and 5-for-11 from the free throw line. He flashed his talent on a few drives to the basket, but more impressive was the passing display he put on in the second half, when he had four of his six assists.
