Clarkesville man shares lead

WEST POINT, MS - Mike Gordy of Clarkesville, Georgia, shared the lead after the first round of the 31st Southern Juniors golf championship. <br> <br> Gordy and Gator Todd each shot 5-under 67 Tuesday. Gordy had three birdies in the final five holes, including a 30-footer on the 17th. <br> <br> Todd, son of former Alabama and NFL quarterback Richard Todd, made four birdie putts. Defending champ Dan Kleckner of Houston, is four shots back at 71. <br> <br> The 54-hole tournament for amateurs under 18, primarily from the South, concludes Thursday.
