ATLANTA - The Atlanta Thrashers have begun implementing a multi-layered "True Blue" marketing campaign surrounding the team's upcoming fifth season in 2003-04, and Thursday unveiled a special commemorative logo, according to Vice President of Sales and Marketing Derek Schiller.

The logo, which will be donned on the team's jerseys this season, is a significant piece of a year long campaign designed to reward fans while recognizing the significance of the team's fifth year in the National Hockey League.

"The fifth season logo showcases this important milestone in the organization's young history," says Schiller. "We have significant plans to celebrate the fifth season, including the reintroduction of the Blue Line Club, which speaks to our commitment to add even more value for multi-game ticket holders while rewarding all our of fans for the strong support they have given us since Day One."

"True Blue" incorporates the team's primary blue color scheme as well as variations of the word "blue" as constant themes throughout the campaign which was launched in earnest when the team began accepting season seat deposits in May.

Another integral part of the campaign includes a reintroduction of the Thrashers Blue Line Club, which is membership based and open to all season- and multi-game ticket holders, providing multiple benefits based on the level of participation.

In addition to providing exclusive benefits, the Thrashers plan to open a special meeting area in Philips Arena to be reserved for Season Tickets Holders and their families. The Blue Line Club was originally formed when the team began accepting deposits for season tickets prior to the 1999-2000 Inaugural Season.
