South Carolina pounds Wofford

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Bryan Triplett had five hits, including a grand slam, and drove in seven runs as South Carolina beat Wofford 23-2 on Wednesday night. <br> <br> Twelve batters got hits for the Gamecocks (29-17), who have scored 59 runs in three games against the Terriers (8-32) this season. <br> <br> South Carolina pounded out a season-high 26 hits, scoring in every inning but the fourth. Brian Buscher was 4-for-5 with four RBIs, Michael Campbell went 4-for-6 and Landon Powell was 3-for-4 with four runs scored. <br> <br> Starter Matt Campbell (3-3) got the win for the Gamecocks, allowing four hits and an earned run over five innings. <br> <br> Jarrod Rampey (3-8) lasted just one inning for Wofford to get the loss. He faced seven batters, allowing three hits and four earned runs.
