Vandy deals Vols playoff blow

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - Cesar Nicolas hit a 3-run double in the sixth inning, lifting Vanderbilt to a 7-4 victory Friday night over Tennessee. <br> <br> Nicolas&#39; hit snapped a 4-4 tie before a record crowd of 1,811 at Vanderbilt&#39;s Hawkins Field. <br> <br> Warner Jones drove in two other runs for Vanderbilt (25-26, 12-16 Southeastern Conference) with a single in the first and a sacrifice fly in the third. <br> <br> Brian Cleveland went 2-for-3 for Tennessee (31-22, 13-15) and had an RBI. <br> <br> Jeremy Sowers (7-4) was the winner. Ben Riley (3-6) took the loss.
